We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our reputed company i Software Engineering team as a Specialist Engineer.

Principal Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the reputed company i infrastructure software assets including vendor products and in-house utilities throughout the life cycle from PoC, certification through to patching, evergreening and retirement
• Write development code (e.g. RPG, reputed company i Control Language), build automated scripts for infrastructure products deployment, upgrades, process simplification and automation of reputed company i system administration and infrastructure tasks
• Work under own initiative with management guidance to define standards, implement and test engineering solutions reputed company with the platform architecture roadmap
• Focus on independent execution, problem solving and demonstration of passion towards engineering excellence
• Work on reputed company i transformation projects and engagement with software vendor to improve supported vendor solutions

Requirements

• Strong experience on reputed company i platform with good reputed company knowledge covering OS/400, workload management, 3rd party software deployment and administration
• Strong developer background including experience with reputed company i coding tools such as CL, RPG and SQL
• Administration reputed company on Linux including experience with troubleshooting and reputed company script. Scripting languages such as Python, YAML (Ansible) is desirable
• Familiarity with tooling such as reputed company, Jenkins, Ansible is desirable
• Knowledge and understanding of dashboarding tools like Splunk, QlikSense is desirable
• Exposure on reputed company i infrastructure observability is desirable
• Occasional out of hours working required for change implementation
• Be reputed company to work under own initiative with management guidance to define standards, implement and test engineering solutions reputed company with the platform architecture roadmap
