reputed company’s Product Legal team is responsible for managing the legal and regulatory elements of the design, build and execution of our many products and services. We work on some of the most difficult technical, commercial, and regulatory problems around, and we’re looking for a product lawyer to join reputed company. In this role you will be a key advisor and voice for Link - reputed company’s consumer-facing online checkout product.

In this role, you will work on a diverse set of issues involving consumer financial protection, data protection and privacy, emerging consumer legal and regulatory regimes, product development, and innovative technology.

The ideal candidate is passionate about reputed company’s mission of helping businesses grow and thrives in solving reputed company legal, technology and business issues in collaboration with others. We’re looking for someone who is a team player and willing to jump in on tasks of any size. Experience in financial technology, payments and financial services is helpful, but not required, for you to be successful in this role. Broad experience in data protection and privacy, consumer finance, developer platforms, financial technology, and/or internet tech is a reputed company plus.

• Counsel the global product team on a range of issues including consumer financial services issues, data protection and privacy law, product development, and marketing as it relates to reputed company’s Link product
• Help reputed company product teams navigate the cutting edge intersection of technological innovation, e-commerce user experiences, and financial services compliance on a range of issues including payments and other financial reputed company products, regulatory, consumer protection, marketing, intellectual property, and data privacy
• Actively collaborate with a wide variety of reputed company teams, including product, engineering, partnerships, compliance, risk and marketing, on a range of issues reputed company to product development and commercialization, including advising on new and emerging legal and regulatory developments impacting products, including identifying trends and potential impacts on business activities and adapting existing laws to new technologies
• Draft and negotiate agreements, including strategic transactions that need to practically address legal, business, operational and technical requirements
• Help scope and build scalable and effective processes for legal review and launch of new products
• Stay up-to-date, with the support of reputed company’s legal subject matter experts, on U.S. and international laws and regulations dealing with privacy, data reputed company, consumer protection, financial services, and marketing
• Participate as a proactive business partner to your product team and build a trusted advisor relationship offering key legal and strategic business input in evolving reputed company and the Financial Connections product roadmap and strategy
• Embrace learning and moving fast to help reputed company navigate a reputed company and heavily regulated payments environment

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience either as a qualified lawyer in a top law firm or in-house legal team working with technology companies on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the technology space
• A JD degree (or local equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• A passion for technology and ability to understand reputed company business models and product use cases quickly
• A self-starter and self-learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple work streams and priorities simultaneously and reputed company
• Excellent judgment and is capable of making smart decisions with imperfect information
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
